Welcome to the home of Lunartico.
We are Emma and Shane, living in the rugged terrain of South Wales - the perfect habitat for the Alaskan Malamute and Samoyed - and have been owned by this magnificent breed since 2010.
Emma studied Spanish and Portuguese at University of Wales, Swansea, and spent years living and studying in Barcelona, and after that travelling through Spain and South America, before graduating with Honors in 2005. Emma has completed many Kennel Club courses including handling and judging seminars, and is a qualified canine first aider. Emma now has the wonderful job of maintaining the pack whilst Shane is at work!
Shane has grown up around all breeds of dogs, and has shown and worked them since childhood. Shane has been in the Army since 2002, serving overseas and working with military dogs whilst on operational tour. He also had a successful boxing career where, along with his 2 older brothers, won numerous Welsh ABA Titles. He has also successfully coached his Regimental Boxing Team within the British Army for many years.
We love to show and work our dogs, and believe that a dog should be doing the job it was born to do, and ours sure do love to pull!!!!
We work our dogs lightly but regularly in a number of different areas which include backpacking, weight pulling, scooter work, bike-joring, and also running / fitness, and trips to the aqua-treadmill. We carry out these activities with our dogs mainly for fun, but also for the health and well being of our dogs. Check out our working page.
We also enjoy regular pack days out and camping trips in the Welsh Mountains.
We only show our dogs lightly at local opens and a few select championship shows and FCI International Shows per year where we are regularly placed. We are not rosette hunters, we show our dogs simply for fun - a day out and catch up with friends.
You can get to know our pack by looking at their individual pages by clicking on 'Our Pack' and selecting their name at the left of the page, and also check out our news and results pages to see what we are up to at the moment.
Thanks for coming to see us and feel free to sign our guest book!!
We hope you enjoy your visit to our site, come back soon for regular updates.
